On the last day of GITEX, we had a few meetings with our partners. We also visited Dubai Silicon Oasis - Dubai's smart city where everything there is operated by smart technologies. It is an environment-friendly city and it will be ready in 2021.
It was an amazing experience for us to be an exhibitor at GITEX this year. We met with some of our partners and we also discovered new opportunities. We had a great time there and we are looking forward to the future.
The ISE team had a meeting with Riverbed management, Head of IT Strategy and Architecture in BAE Systems to support the ongoing implementation and the opportunity utilizing their new technologies to enhance ISE services. Riverbed is one of the global leaders in bandwidth traffic management.
We also had a meeting with Manage Engine and reviewed their handy management tool-set.
The last meeting we had was with Pure Storage, the widely used in the international market and learned more about their storage technologies.
The team today have been engaging with some of our strategic partners VMWare, SAP and NetApp to discuss future opportunities.
Our CEO had a few conversations with our local partners to strengthen our relationships.
Gitex is one of the biggest events in the world which has several halls with various different sectors not just from IT, but including Government owned companies. We had a walk to one of the bigger halls at Gitex, which had several government businesses showcasing their smart technology.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior were there showcasing the latest smart technology to serve the people of Saudi Arabia, which consisted of ways to make applying for services more convenient and easier.
One of the biggest trends at Gitex this year is robotic technology. Etisalat showcased their technology for the future using the latest in robotics with their robotics café.
STC have one of the biggest stands showcasing their smart technology – mission critical smart cars which use various different technologies to make the future of driving easier.
Samsung made it into the Guinness World Record for the most participants to ride a Virtual Reality roller coaster in 1 hour #LiveINVR.
Opening day at Gitex in Dubai and we have been joined by our CEO Majid AlMuzairi, our ISE Management and Board members to welcome our attendance this year.
HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai attended the opening ceremony and made his way past our stand to welcome the new theme of cutting edge and new technologies at Gitex.
